TRIP DESCRIPTION
The Everest Base Camp Trek is the ideal trek for anyone, who wishes to be there at the base of the worlds highest mountain. Tread above the clouds, immerse your spirit in natural beauty and extend your individual strength beyond what you thought was possible. The Everest Base Camp is a once in a lifetime experience, it is the most enjoyable and fascinating of all the treks there are. Along with the excitement of being there, you can also spot Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu, which are three of the ten tallest peaks in the world.

Day 01 : Arrival to Kathmandu

Day 03 : Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3,440m): Trek 5 - 6 hrs
Day 04 : Acclimatization Day

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY
Day 01 : Arrival to Kathmandu
After your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, who will escort you to your hotel. After some rest you can take a walk around the streets of Thamel (the main tourist hub) or visit us at the office for some information about the trek. In the evening, you can visit the various bars that line the streets in Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02 : Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding (2,652m): 1 hour flight, Trek 3 - 4 hrs
A short morning flight will take you to Lukla, see one of the most extraordinary airports in the world here you can meet your guide and porters. Start your trek with an easy walk through Chauri kharka village and descent towards Dudhkoshi Ghat (2,530m/8,300ft). The picturesque trail follows the bank of the Dudhkoshi River until Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft). You will be staying here at Phakding for the night to acclimatize. Spend your free time in Phakding, it is a popular resting spot for trekkers. Overnight in Phakding
Day 03 : Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3,440m): Trek 5 - 6 hrs
Fuel up with some breakfast in Phakding before gearing up for the trek till Namche Bazaar, which the biggest Sherpa village in the everest region. The route crosses over the Dudhkoshi River, walk atop a long suspension bridge, and then enjoy a trek among the beautiful pine forest upto Monjo. After approaching the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park there will be a permit check and then you can further descend alongside to Dudh Kosi River upto to Jorsale. After a hearty lunch and then climb uphill. It is a bit tough climb up the hill to Namche Bazaar but the good part is your first glimpse of Everest in all its glory. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 04 : Acclimatization Day
You can take some rest in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize to the higher altitude. If you want more, you can opt for a two hour hike to Everest View Point, the short uphill hike will help you speed up acclimatization. If you want you can just explore Namche Bazaar. The Sherpa museum offers a glimpse of the Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering. On Saturdays, the local bazaar is open for business. You can also buy or hire mountaineering equipments here. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 05 : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m): 5 - 6 hrs
Another day for an exciting trek! Walk ahead with the breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges The Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kwangde are some of the highlights while you trudge. After awhile a short descent and you are by a riverside, after you cross the river it is uphill through the forest pass. After many small ascents and descents you will finally reach Tengboche, it is one of the many beautiful places in the Everest region. Visit the Tengboche monastery, one of the largest in Khumbu region. The chanting and prayers of the monks will set you in peace. Overnight in Tengboche.
Day 06 : Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410 m): 5 - 6 hrs
Today the rhododendron forest greets you till to Deboche. After that cross a bridge over the raging Imja river. After passing the valley wall you can traverse over to the plains towards Pangboche village, this village has the biggest settlement of Sherpas in the region. Witness typical Sherpa village and try out local food! You can opt for another hike to the Pangboche monastery, one of the oldest in the region. The following afternoon trek is quite a difficult one, as the landscape opens up to dry, deserted mountains walk ahead towards Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche.
Day 07 : Dingboche Acclimatization
During acclimatization we can hike to Nagarjuna Hill or explore Imja Valley.
Day 08 : Dingboche - Lobuche (4,940 m): 3 - 4 hrs
On the way to Lobuche, you can trek across a wide pass and all trekking is above 4000m at this point, therefore the pace is very slow. As you continue on your way to Thukla the landscape becomes more arid, the eerie and jagged landscape gives you a lonely feeling. Eventually, you can spot the village of Thukla and you will be surprised, as it consists of three stone buildings with huge strands of prayer flags hung across the valley. However the villagers are generous and welcoming.
As you leave, a tough, steep walk to the top of a high hill awaits you. Over here you can see the memorial stupas dedicated to the climbers and trekkers who lost their lives to Everest over the years. Continue walking on over craggy mountain terrain towards Lobuche, it is a small settlement with outstanding views of Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Pumari and the Nuptse. Wrap up with some good insulated clothing as the nights are cold, also know that you are now almost three miles above sea level. Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 09 : Lobuche - GorakShep (5,170m) - Everest Base Camp (5,364m) - GorakShep: 8 - 9 hrs
This is a big day, start with a relatively easy trek from Lobuche to Gorekshep. The following, straight trail to Everest Base Camp is harder, involving rocky dunes and moraine, formed accumulation of loose glacial debris. Along the way you will encounter the famed Khumbu Glacier and icefall, located on the slopes of Everest. Finally you will reach your goal the EBC, you will also have a chance (especially during the spring climbing season) to meet climbers attempting to scale theEverest summit. It is time to take as much pictures as you want, as the views are out of this world. By late afternoon, head back to Gorekshep for some much needed rest after a hard day.
Day 10 : GorakShep- Kala Patthar - Pheriche (4,280 m): 8 - 9 hrs
Today is the day to take the grand trek towards Kalapathar (literally “black rock”) sees the fiery glow of sunrise over Mt. Everest. The day’s first light illuminates the amazing views of Nuptse Nup, Changtse and Lhotse. Take amazing pictures of Everest and its neighboring peak, you will want to capture as much as you can. Afterwards, head back Gorekshep for breakfast and down towards Pheriche, where you will be spending the night.
Day 11 : Pheriche-Pangboche-Tengboche-NamcheBazaar (3,440 m): 7 - 8 hrs
The downhill trek from Pheriche to Tengboche is relatively easy, although it does, require an hour scaling a hill. By late afternoon you will be in Namche Bazaar, take a good night’s rest on the last day in the mountain.
Day 12 : Namche Bazaar-Lukla (2,800m): 6 - 8 hrs
Have some breakfast before the trek toward the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then through several local villages till Lukla. In Lukla you can celebrate your conquest, you made it! This would officially be your last night in the mountains, take back sweet memories. Overnight in Lukla.
Day 13 : Lukla - Kathmandu - 1,300m. Flight time: 35 min
The morning sees you take a brief scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Our representative will transfer to your hotel upon landing for some much-needed rest and reflection after your trek conquering the Himalayas. In the evening you can stroll around Thame, one of the best Nepalese tourist hubs in town. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 14 : Departure from Nepal
Today is the day to leave the Himalayas behind, we hope you enjoyed a lot and probably you will be back for another exciting adventure very soon. Farewell friend!

HEALTH AND EXPERIMENTS REQUIREMENTS
Everest Base Camp Trek 14 days is moderate trek suitable for passionate trekkers who have the ability to walk at least 4 to 6 hours a day. Some days you might even need to walk 7 to 8 hours. Walking in higher altitude is rather challenging and it requires a lot of physical caliber. A good physique, positive altitude, self confidence and strong determination are the keys to success to successfully accomplish the Everest Base Camp Trek. Past hiking experience would be an asset but not mandatory for Everest Base Camp Trek. Participants with chronic illness, physical disorder, heart, blood and respiratory disease are strongly advised to inform Prime Himalayas Pvt. Ltd. before booking the trek. Consultation with a medical professional is highly recommended before starting your Everest Base Camp Trek.
